Worship songs set to TV theme music

Dear Oracle

I feel I must write to tell you about a truly uplifting experience I had recently while watching one of my favourite TV soap dramas.

During the programme there was suddenly a most beautifully touching and rare moment when somebody actually said something nice to somebody else in the Queen Vic and I immediately felt an overwhelming urge to start worshipping our wonderful Saviour.

Then, before I knew what was happening, my head started to fill with lovely, lovely words that seemed to float in from nowhere. Oh Oracle it was wonderful…but what could I do for a tune?

And then the miracle Oracle…

While I was temporarily lost in wonder, love and praise, the programme ended and the theme tune started up and my words almost perfectly fitted exactly to the tune with a bit of adjustment.

Praise the Lord!!

I thought I MUST write to you as I know you will want to use it and share it with others. Here it is:

To the tune of East Enders

anyone can be a friend
anyone can be a friend of Je-e-e-sus
he-he loves us all so much
when you're feeling down
he-he-he will pick you up . . . dah dah dah dah

Isn’t it wonderful, and so obviously anointed. Of course you only add the “dah dah dah dah” on the last time through.

But personally I so enjoy praising to it I never reach the end!

I have tried to get Al, our worship leader, to teach it to the congregation but he says he thinks it is so special perhaps he should save it for a while.

Yours very excitedly,

Rosemary
