Two weeks ago today, it was the start of the tour (le tour) and we were three, Wayne, Wendy and Jonathan.
Two weeks on and I am about to put my face around the door of church 'in anger' (as they say!) after a wonderful two weeks getting to know Charlotte.
So what have we learned...?
1
If your wife is in labour, saying lets wait until the tennis finishes may not always be the best move. If we had, the babay would have arrived in the flat and not the delivery ward!
2
Big chimneys and cranes when viewed from the inside of a hospital ward can be far more interesting than your new little sister.
3
When holding baby, if you see your feet sticking out from under her, you may mistake them for your own!
4
Running shoes should last six months to a year if you run approx 20miles per week, and not the three and a half years I got out of my last pair, and I'm lucky to be alive the stick thin girl in the running shop said as she sold me a new pair for £85!
See you in six months! Not at £85!!!
5
Never be fooled by newborns, they can smell fear inches away! They pretend to be asleep and if you put them down, do so at your peril. They WILL cry!
6
Ryan Adams new album is wicked.
7
Le Tour rocks, drugs or no drugs.
8
If you have a baby boy you get given lots of blue things, if you have a baby girl you get given lots of pink things!
9
Sleep is an amazing thing, Enjoy it when you get it and don't ever take it for granted!
10
Two year old boys are not small, they are HUGE MONSTERS, willing to run amok anywhere and everywhere. It takes a newborn to show that to be the fact!
11
Paternity leave is not long enough!
