christian designers, architects in church and life

this is a bit of response to the text written by hongkongsnelly, but its lying on my heart now for quite some years... We all are more or less comfy with having creative arts, music and drama in our (emergent) churches and worship services, we all seeing them in different forms...some kind of band is quite the normality,, from time to time we´re seeing some kind of drama or even a (worship)-dance....

Churches and congregations are rising up these times and forming their own creative groups, but from my experience missing out one big group:
Those who call themselfes Designer (Fashion, product, media, ceramic...) or Architects (interior, landscape, urban designer)...

I must admit its not that easy to bring their gifts into church: what can some urban designer or fashion designer doing in some worship service, how can they use their creative gifts for the church, for the kingdom of christ ?!

I´m having this dream aka vision on my heart for years, where some kind of group exists in my church. A group for designers and architects, a group where they meet up, discuss about their professions and the relationships to their christian lifes. where they can pray, encourage, multiply, evangelise their non-christian friends, network among themselfes for different projects, exhibitions etc....

The name i have in my brain i would call this is : CHRISTIAN DESIGN SYNERGY...
my dream is that this group will influence the church and their own design environment and friends at work; this group will grow from the single church to one city and in 2 years there will be a 1st national christian conference - why should i think small if god could move mountains with us ?!!!

My only problem is: I´m quite alone at this at the moment. Feedback very much appreciated (urbanizing at gmail dot com)....
