Today Kris Ruby and I were strolling through High St Ken having a lovely old time. We were crossing the road when we noticed a guy on a motorbike edging his way between two cars. The long and short of it was that he went a little too fast and the two cars kind of just squeezed him inbetween them leaving him jammed and the bike falling on him in a bad angle. I guess what dumfounded me the most was not the actual accident but the reaction of Londoners to such a scene. I shouldnt be surprised. People just walked passed and didnt bat an eyelid at the fact this guy was so obviously stuck. Kris and another guy (an aussie I am proud to say) ran across the road to him and picked up his bike wedging him out from a tight spot. He was obviously shaken up but neither driver seemed too bothered either as they both just drove off. Kris and this guy moved his bike to the footpath and made sure he was ok before leaving. Not to be too deep but it did make me think of a recent quote I heard which says "In a place of inhumanity - strive to be human." So true.
