It’s over.

Tonight I fly out to Cape Town bringing an end to 10 years of London living. It seems to be an opportune moment for some introspection, but I’m not given to nostalgic sentimentality or a 10 point plan on how to succeed in a foreign country, so I’m not sure what to say other than I will miss this place. I will miss my friends, and the pubs, and the churches, and the nightlife, and the office cleaner from Uzbekistan. I will miss the diversity. I’m sure in time, I will even miss the tube.

I’ve been around and I can confidently say I’m moving to one of the world’s most beautiful cities. Everyone from AL ought to come and visit and I’d be happy to show you around. I take the biblical endorsement of practice hospitality very seriously and I am, if I may say so, a fantastic host.

In the beginning, I’m going to be staying at my Mom’s place in Fish Hoek while I look for something closer to town. My internet access is going to be pretty sporadic over the next few weeks as I organise my new life, but know that I’ll be back soon. My bags are packed and I’m ready to go.

Citizens of London, I salute you.
All the best Tuberider I hope you have an amazingly blessed and enjoyable time back home and that you do get many chances to make us jealous with stories and photographs.

Have a great flight!!

Jen :)

All the best with the move, tuberider.  Look forward to hearing your news.
Wow! Awesome!  All the best.  Will be in CT again next year I'm sure, will drop you a line.   Think it's great that you're going back.  What a beautiful place.
If you ever fancy a trip to PMB I'm sure my folks could give you a bed for the night. Plus, if you want to help with any children I'm sure that they could think of something...

It's been great having you and hopefully I'll see you sometime.
