African Prayer, Worship and Feast. Invitation to all!

test
We would love to invite you all  to an evening of Prayer, Worship and Food on Sat  6thJan 2007.
Last year I was sent by God to a Christian run orphanage and school in Kenya where I discovered there was terrible abuse happening to the children.  (see blogs below for more details about my experience here and in Uganda with Max)

We would like to gather as many people as we can to put this project in  prayer before the new term starts at the school, and also to pray more  widely for other international projects (including Max Manner's project in Uganda with children from the war-torn zone in Uganda) and for the children that are presently being abused in the UK who Belle works with.
We want to see dynamic prayer in action at the start of the coming New Year  and to share thoughts and ideas of what more we can do. We would love to have at least one presentative from each pastorate at HTB with us but as many people as want to come are welcome.

We hope to see you there and other members of your pastorate if you could forward this to them and feel they would be interested. We would be so grateful for your support in trying this idea.
We are meeting at a house in Dulwich (email for details) at 5pm for prayer and Worship followed by an African Feast and possibly a few drinks out after (if you are only able to come for the prayer and Worship, then please do!).

Please RSVP by 5th January to tishy@laetitiahavers.co.uk for further details.
We really hope that you can make it, and look forward to seeing you.

Best Wishes
Tishy and Belle

Woo hoo. Am so excited! I hope anyone who reads this and doesn't know us but is interested in all these children and New Year praying will come and not worry about not knowing anyone else who's going. The more people who don't know each other the better almost as God can reach more people as a result (I may have quit my job by 6th Jan. I can't even make proper sentences any more.)

And we are having worship and Ugali. I am most excited about the Ugali. What are you most excited about Tish? (Is it too late for us to get jobs on playschool?)

The more the merrier, and more powerful!  Think I'm most excited about the chipaties! - Can we all eat with our hands please? The real African way!  Though can get very messy, but hey that's the fun!

It'd could be a really fun random night - just don't know whose gonna turn up, but all with the same mission!  Can't wait!  xx
that's so exciting!! I'd love to go but am afraid I won't be in London until the 8th... hope you have a great time!
oh no, gutting!  Can't wait to see you when you get back though x
Anyone know any good African recipies?
Jo, Where are you? I forgot you were away for Christmas, is everything going well?

Tish, I'm emailing you about beef stew now so this message is superfluous. Like the pudding idea, any word from Tim? Plates etc?
I'll be there!
Hooray! I wasn't sure if Robbie had managed to get hold of you... How was my bonnie wee homeland? I was thinking of you on New Years Eve and praying you had found a nice warm pub somewhere.
Yes, we made it onto the Hot topics on the Home page!!! Not sure how we can make it onto the main section of it though!

If you are coming and read this and want to know how you can help.... a bottle of something you'd like to drink would be amazing!!!

Had a really successful meeting with someone from Internation Justice with a Mission today about the whole legal side of it!  Will fill you in on Saturday x
Scotland was brilliant - will entertain you with stories over dinner on Saturday. We were spectacularly rained on for Hogmanay but still danced in the streets!
