itunes top 100

itunes top 100Hey, unbelievably "Holding Nothing Back" has entered the top 100 album chart for itunes, reaching no. 49. Really exciting to see worship up there with the big guns. Hopefully a sign of things to come. Catch a glimpse of this before it plummets!!!

Soul Survivor Interview

Recently I was interviewed by Soul Survivor. I thought I'd post some of the questions and answers.

Tim goes 'myspace'

Well it's finally happened. I've gone mypace. Check it out - www.myspace.com/timhughesmusic
It's in early stages but already you can hear 'Happy Day,' taken from the new album.

Album Cover

My drummer's brother, Derrick, is also bringing out an album and asked me to mention it. It's called "Holding Everything Back," and looks vaguely familiar!
Available from all good Christian book stores!!

New Album: Holding Nothing Back

A few people have been asking for an update on the album. Well it's all finished - mixed and mastered. Shane Wilson (David Crowder, Leeland, Brenton Brown) mixed the record in Nashville. I'm delighted with what he's done. The mix makes such a difference; pulling out all the right sounds and flavours.

Soul Action Day

Writing Songs

We've just got back from the Worship Central retreat, where 20 worship leaders gathered for a time of teaching, worship and reflection. Below are some notes from a session on song writing.

Encounter

Some friends of mine are putting on an event in High Wycombe called, 'Encounter.' Happening on Saturday, March 3rd, the day includes a Kids Praise Party, a workshop with Graham Kendrick and an evening celebration with Graham Kendrick leading the worship. Taking the Lead

Some worship leaders are more natural leaders than others. The natural leaders understand that confrontation is sometimes necessary. They have broad enough shoulders to face temporary unpopularity for the sake of doing what they know is right. For others though, leading can be a tough thing. Speaking personally I’ve had to learn to take more of a lead with the band. I’m not here referring to leading times of worship, but about leading and overseeing a group of people.
