You'll never out-dream God!

I realised this morning that just recently I had become scared of dreaming and stopped hoping that my dreams can come true. And that's a dangerous place to get to.
Scooterless chick

Well, it's been decided....no scooter for me. Or at least not for a little while.

You see, the main reason for buying one was to get myself to work, to avoid the hot, sweaty, smelly, hour-long tube journey I currently have each way.

But as I handed my notice in last week and will be working only half the distance from home, there's not really much need for it now.

My Name is Rachel Corrie

I went to see this play the other day called 'Mr Name is Rachel Corrie'. It was outstanding.

It's about a young American girl who felt so strongly about what was (is) happening in Israel/Palestine (depending on your view of things), that she went out there when she was about 22 years old to peacefully protest. And she got killed. For trying to protect a family's home from being bulldozed down.

Is it just me?

I find this whole blog thing a little odd.

I guess what goes through my head is 'why would anyone want to read about my thoughts, opinions, experiences?' Don't get me wrong, it's not that I have terribly low self esteem (though I def have my moments!) but I guess I feel I live a fairly ordinary life.

Or is there maybe something a little deeper going on? Maybe I don't like the risk of putting myself out there? Maybe it makes me too vulnerable?

So, the gauntlet has been laid...bring it on G-man!!

But before I even consider reuniting Buddyboy Singh with his lost red socks, which I hasten to add he gave to me after he made us do a 5 hour trek on a wet and windy November afternoon in Cambridgeshire whilst on a pastorate weekend away, I have to ask who would take a photo of themselves putting on said favourite socks?!!!

There's a first time for everything!

I have to say I've always been rather sceptical of this whole blog thing. Or rather, should I say I've just never really got it!

But, they say you should always try things at least once...or is that just true of nasty things like brussel sprouts and aduki beans that my dear 'hippy' mother tried to force down me from a young tender age, thus scarring me for life?!

Anyway, I figure it's worth a go right? So I'm starting with this rather boring and some what short first entry just before I pop off to the gym at lunchtime...
