A new day is dawning...

A new day is dawning...A few months ago I posted a blog about God stirring something up.  I wasn't really sure whether it was just something He was doing in me personally, but I had a funny feeling that perhaps it wasn't and a few people have said since that they have felt the same.

You'll never out-dream God!

I realised this morning that just recently I had become scared of dreaming and stopped hoping that my dreams can come true. And that's a dangerous place to get to.

Wedding (well, bridesmaid) photos!

A few weeks ago I was a bridesmaid for one of my very best friends - here are a few photos!

Something's a stirrin'

Something's a stirrin'I don't quite know what it is, but I'm getting the feeling that God's about to do something big/significant, kind of in the way that storm clouds start to gather on the horizon (well, that is if you like storms, and I do!)

I couldn't tell you what it is even related to, but yesterday I got this sense that God is on the move and that I need to keep sharp and prepare.

He knows what He's doing

Whenever I'm going through a bit of tough time, or things just don't seem to be working out the way I would have liked, I'm the first to say to God, 'Hang on, I thought you wanted to bless me, and give me good things, and that you had good plans for me? So what's all this rubbish stuff, why is this happening, surely this isn't in the plan, please make it stop.'

How do you know when you've heard right?

How do you know when you've heard right?I would say I generally know when I've heard God's voice. Well, at least I do when it's about something that doesn't have a direct effect on my emotions!  It's not even that I only hear Him on general stuff, like about our attitudes and behaviour, which can be confirmed in the Bible.  I've heard Him on some big stuff like jobs, career, uni, gap years etc.

Boys in the kitchen!

Love it - a couple of the guys from our pastorate in Church House kitchen when we helped out at HTB cafe one Sunday.

Would definitely recommend volunteering one week - it was great fun

Scooterless chick

Well, it's been decided....no scooter for me. Or at least not for a little while.

You see, the main reason for buying one was to get myself to work, to avoid the hot, sweaty, smelly, hour-long tube journey I currently have each way.

But as I handed my notice in last week and will be working only half the distance from home, there's not really much need for it now.

To scoot or not to scoot?

It's been a mighty old time since I wrote on here.  I do think about it but keep coming back to that same old question - is it really interesting enough to broadcast to this little online world that we have?

Well, after last night's service and the way the Spirit was moving and God just held me and told me how much He loves me, I don't care too much any more!  Well, for today at least!

...just as only time can heal his broken legs."

Miss Piggy

Ha!  That made me laugh quite recently, and then prompted me to post some rather more meaningful quotes which have become some of my favourites...unfortunately I didn't take note of who said them, so I can't credit them - apologies.
