   After Focus, it was a pleasant change to go sailing in Greece!  The Southern Ionian has wonderful clear, deep, blue water and offers very gentlemanly sailing- referring to the 9.25 knots we reached.  The heat creates a strong afternoon breeze of force 4-5, which dies down just as one is about to anchor to look for a taverna and a quiet evening in which to enjoy the surrounding beauty!  The biggest challenge is operating the electric anchor windlass.  You only have one chance reversing at speed into a stern-to mooring in front of a watchful crowd on the harbour wall.  You time the anchor drop off, in 10-15 meters of water, 4 boat lengths in advance and stop a yard short of the quay, with port and starboard aft moorings quickly cleated off!  You then haul in the anchor to take the tension. At Vasiliki, on the island of Levkas, I so nearly lost two fingers in the chain drum - one of those occasions when I caught my breath and I just knew in my knower that God was protecting me (from my own folly that is, not the enemy necessarily, though I do sometimes wonder which is worse!).

HOW AMAZING IS THIS?

I wish to welcome you all to our pastorate's blog. I hope that we shall all use it to enhance our faith in God, minister to the each other and the world at large and above all, as a source of our daily strength.

First, I have linked a few useful websites offering daily bible listening and verses and the proverbs of the day with archive bible reading. I shall also upload links with daily reading planner, which come hardy for those with limited internet exposure. It is my sincere hope that we can all add to this list to ensure that everyone is aware of useful websites out there.

Ermm, hmm, thought I'd just write a post.  I was looking through aboutlife after a long time and just to say I'm excited to see that my blog is working again! (Internet here has been, lets just say very secure indeed).  So I thought I'd just send a post.  Certainly had no time to be blogging doing this course though!  Am learning loads and loads which is totally marvellous.  Not sure who will read this but I thought I'd just make a mark out of the rather long period of quiet. 

My friend and I are about to be home owners of a three bed maisonette in Brixton. Lovely.

We hope to move in to the light, airy, spacious, treat of a flat at the end of this month/ beginning of April.

We are looking for a third flat mate (Male/Female) non-smoker, friendly, who doesn't mind living with their landladies.

The flat is only 5 mins walk from Brixton tube, and has all latest mod cons, and as I shall be living there, will have wireless connection use at all times.
