So we drove down to Cornwall to visit the bro and go to Eden for the gig.

The thing about Cornwall is that no matter where you start, unless you're already there, it is a long way away! When we moved to Bristol I said to the bro.. 'good news we're moving to the South West.' 'Great', he replied, 'where?' 'Bristol' I replied. 'Bristol, that's not the South West, that's the midlands!'

Anyway we get there and it's raining. I mean really really raining.

Here's another Mp3 recording from last month's (March 2007) Ikon event.

The song is called 'Nothing is Impossible' and looks at the power of God to do the impossible, whether it is viewing all of the world at once - controlling the forces of the sea and sky - transforming the lives of the broken - coming to Earth in human form - and even dying for us.

The song was actually born out a Worship Central day when Tim (Hughes) was singing out the line 'Nothing is Impossible' in a spontaneous moment. It was so long ago that I don't remember how exactly it original went in the spontanaeity (and it's really not important) - but it lead me (through God's Spirit) to begin to write this song later that night.

Ikon is a montly Christian Event in Falmouth, Cornwall which I am involved with (both in leading and behind the scenes).

The Sunday just passed (11th March) we took a recording of the event and I have since done a slight remix of it and cut it down into individual tracks!

I had the nicest surprise on Saturday. After deciding on friday after a rather hectic and increadibly emotional week, that i would have a nice chilled weekend fulled with nothing but relaxing Julie "Down Time", my rubber arm was twisted in about 0.5 seconds to go to the Killers concert. After joking around with my housemate that i might have to mug her for her tickets she popped into my room to see if I wanted to take 2 extra tickets that miraculously turned up?? So afetr about 10 minutes of screaming, jumping up and down and screaming more, then much hugging and maybe a small tear I said YES!!!

Welcome dear reader to another entry in Cubicle Life

A departure this week. Have you ever been in a service at HTB and wondered how it all seems to run smoothly and without problems. Well there are a group of people, amongst others who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make HTB happen.

At the back of church there is a large wooden box where people sit twiddling buttons and looking generally relaxed and contented - these people are members of the Tech Team - a small but appreciated group of mainly volunteers responsible for the sound and vision at each service at HTB. So what do these people do?

Its as simple as this. I really want to join a music group at church and maybe even lead one. The main reason why I joined the youth team was to get kids worshipping - and as great as it is to get FROG worshipping and when the kids do get the oppurtunity to play their instruments and lead in all age services (and hopefully soon during FROG sessions)... it is quite sporadic.
