The Gift of Friends...

Continue working in our lives
In big ways and in small
In high spots…low spots…up spots…down spots
Lord…be in them all
We manage sometimes…so we think
Without You being there

The Winter Tree...

The Winter Tree...
The trees were bare…devoid of leaf
Straggly and stark…in bold relief
Lackluster limbs against the sky
That winters day But though gay dresses had been lost

Mirror In February

Remember English class? Remember exams being two years away? Remember poems written by 'middle aged' men bemoaning their lack of youth? Remember thinking, I don't get that, I wonder if I ever will?

Getting it is such sweet sorrow.

Thanks Thomas

CHRISTIAN DESIGN SYNERGY

christian designers, architects in church and life

this is a bit of response to the text written by hongkongsnelly, but its lying on my heart now for quite some years... We all are more or less comfy with having creative arts, music and drama in our (emergent) churches and worship services, we all seeing them in different forms...some kind of band is quite the normality,, from time to time we´re seeing some kind of drama or even a (worship)-dance....

Peter Gabriel at Eden

Peter Gabriel at EdenOff tomorrow to Cornwall and to the Eden Project to see Peter Gabriel.

Does the fact I like PG make me old?

Don't reply on that...

Anyway the joy of the internet means I can find out what the set lists have looked like over the past few nights.

Eric Lyons and Span - or why good design matters.

Eric Lyons and Span - or why good design matters.I've just shelled out on a wonderful new book. It is called Eric Lyons and Span.

It's all about Eric Lyons and Span.

I'm pretty sure you've never heard about Lyons, or never heard about Span, but these guys changed the world.

Resident Poets Say with Intensity

We do not have to be whole to serve god with our words, thinking, crying and weeping.

A context like Peckham can bring the extremes of existence into focus. As I spoke with a journalist last week he remarked that 'there seems to be a battle on for the souls of your young people'. Part of my reflection in response is that many places have alot of grey, but here things seem to be more starkly contrasting. Our streets give rise to the extremes of emotions, the heights and the depths, where I see elation and despair, the nation's shame but I get to meet also, this nation's hope.

Living Art

Although you are so big that you created the whole universe with all its stars and planets, you even paid attention to the tiny bugs that crawl around the earth by making them beautiful.

You are the ultimate creative artist, you painted a picture that came to life and reflects your beauty and complexity like a dusty mirror.

You did not leave your creation on a shelf even though others had designs on it, you interacted with it, cared for it and made adjustments here and there. You loved it so much that you let it change and make up its own mind.

Cubicle Life 2

This is another installment of Cubicle Life - a slightly strange take on life as viewed from behind the cubicle wall.

As the author mentioned this blog is possibly a little bit strange but defiantly whimsical and diverse. But it is mainly designed to make people laugh and relax. It also gives an insight into the state of the authors mind - a terrifying thought you might agree!!!
