ski season that is! 8 months of thumb twiddling now + doing my job i guess.

Unfortunately, I haven't come out unscathed. :( . On the final run of the season, skiing back to village level, I had a bit of a tumble. It seemed only to be muscle damage, but went for an x-ray today and my collar bone has shattered into 4 pieces. Doh!

So actually, it looks like i'll be in fracture clinic and physio for the next 8 months..

The mountains are looking very green and my skis are starting to suffer. I think they now have more repairs than original base material! About to start week 2 of this trip, having a great time despite the lack of white fluffy stuff.

Yes, It's that time of year again. Just back from my first trip of the season. Had an excellent time. Great group of guests and a fun team. We had some great talks an hopefully got the message across to some of the non-Christians who came along.

Had some excellent lessons, highlight being getting my beginners class of 10 who had never skiied before down a red piste on day 5.

April 2004, 10 years after the Rwanda genocide, the international community gathered and declared "Never Again". This was particularly in reference to the developing conflict in Darfur.

I'll start by saying I don't understand all the issues, or have any idea of what the solution is. I do have an emotional attachment to what happens in Darfur. Maybe more than I should if I want to work in the humanitarian sector again, but you have to care or you wouldn't do it. I digress.

Haven't blogged for a while so here is a public service announcement.

Most interesting web site i've come across in a while www.bookmooch.com . Seeing as there have been various different posts on book reviews/clubs and things, thought it may be of interest to people. Essentially it's a book swapping service, all though you don't necessarilly have to directly swap with the person asking or giving you a book. You get points that allow you to swap with another person. You can also get points for listing your books on the site. Kind of sounds like it shouldn't work. But i'm assured that it does because as new people join, the credit pool grows, or something like that. I wish i was smarter!

My head hurts..

There's too many things to think about. I've multiple projects at work that are all coming to a head. But in the grand scheme of things aren't really going to change the world.

This morning i've been thinking about this whole terrorist plot thing.

The past week i've been trying to get my head round the middle east crisis. It's interesting to see the different viewpoints of the different media agencies such as CNN, Reuters and the BBC. This is going to sound incredibly naive but could someone please explain (from as impartial a view as possible) the issues involved and what the response of the Christian community should be? Or point me to a suitable sermon.
