This if the first time I have ever written a blog entry.  The weblog things seems a little weird to me.  If I were to actually journal or write a diary, I certainly wouldn't show it to the general public.

But I thought I would give it a try and see how it goes.

Let's see.  What have I done lately?

On Father's Day, my family went to see the new Disney/Pixar movie "Cars."  The movie had a really good message.  The rookie car, who was the favorite to win the big championship race, had to decide whether he was going to live for himself or for others.  And, in the end, he put the interests of others above his own.  It was quite profound actually.

I like movies that give me an opportunity to discuss things like "putting others before yourself" with my son.
