Setting an alarm clock to get up at 3:30am is never fun.
In my opinion, darkness is made for heading to bed and being in bed. Getting up only hours after hitting the pilliow to head to the airport is always a fun adventure, but one that is also filled with dread... what if I miss my alarm? What if I miss my backup alarm? (It has happened!) Fortunately the adrenalane of travel usually means that I wake the instant the alarm goes off. And early morning is a real treat for those with the internal fortitude to battle for it. Got to the airport, checked in, then waited for immigration to open. (They don't open till 4:30am!). Spent a couple of hours at Koru's expense, then flew to Melbourne. Met Jules at our stunning motel, and embarked on our journey of adventure into Melbourne city to film street interviews with the fantastic guys from Planetshakers. Had a great couple of days and got to catch up with Chris and Wendy (very useful). Not sure how much use I was along the way, but feel that the whole trip has been helpful. Highlight has to have been the motel. I won't name it, but it certainly had its charms... Benefits were being across the road from Planetshakers, comfy bed, friendly welcome and easy breakfast. Downsides were most other elements. But it was great. Now back to youth work tomorrow. Still not sure what that means. Feels wierd writing "youth worker" as my occupation on the ever-present immigration cards. sirhcllenrad's blog | report this page | 95 reads
