I agree completely.  I got hacked off with my current pastor (English) and another giving grief to my then pastor (Australian) at Malshanger in October 2005; it resurfaced on Sunday evening just gone.  You can imagine if Australian was replaced by blonde and New Zealander by dark-haired, then there would be uproar, or having African and Caucasian.  Go Shelley!  BTW I'm English, see my blog for my screed on nationality.

They are just jealous of us. But it did make me mad reading that.

To be honest I don't really find the ad offensive personally - I'm half Australian/ half New Zealander - so I'm very middle ground - plus Australians don't take themselves too seriously anyway!  But I have to say, my first thought was the same as Richard's - if Australian/ New Zealander had been swopped with black/ white, Indian/ English or woman/ man would it still have been allowed?

My jaw dropped when I saw this! It's totally unjustified! But..... like you've said Shelley, we Aussies don't take ourselves too seriously, so I was over it in a few seconds.
