Flickr versus _____ ???

Now being the proud owner of a smashing digital camera - I'd like to know if there's a freebie uploading site that you can recommend for uploading and sharing my photos with my mates?

I've been on flickr but now I have to pay to put them in sets and annoyingly it's in dollars - which I'm confused by.

Thank you
S
You can try Yahoo!, which is what I have done (got a digital camera for Christmas 2005), but they shrink the pictures quite considerably in the process.  You can also try AOL UK, which don't reduce the picture size, although i haven't used it.  Also Kodak EasyShare gallery, (do a search for it), again I haven't used it myself but friends have.  Apart from shrinking the pictures, Yahoo! is very good.

Sorry, I don't know you but this blog entry was linked on the home page of About Life as a recent post, so I read it.
hey no worries that's why i put it on here - thanks.
Snapfish from HP isn't bad. It can be a bit slow at peak times though
the kodak easyshare seems the easiest to use to me...  was way to hard to try and figure out flickr!
xx
hey, and which camera did you end up with???xxx
I'm with flickr purely because the band wagon went that way and it means I can link to friends sets. It is good and has the best up load time I've found but you can't print out to a British company from there so have to pay shipping.
Photobox is pretty good and cheap, I generally print out stuff with them
Hey thanks for your help there I'm all new to this but it's v exciting to be in the digital world. Ended up getting a PANASONIC DMC-FX3EB-K 1 (note I've just copied and pasted it there from my receipt!!)

It's proving great so far and have been snapping away. I basically bought the model down from my Uncle Ian who got one for Christmas after a photographer recommended him one. I got a great deal though camera for £129 from comet online . . . basically 70quid less than most places. So i was well chuffed . . . it's got a rite big screen and everything Kat! I'll send you some snaps of me n Grove-ster! xx
Flickr is owned by Yahoo (or at least linked to it) and you geotag your photos using Yahoo Maps. Of course you could you Picasa, the Google desktop album which has a web equivalent. You can geotag using this as well but with Google Earth this time.
everything is so flash these days!
