two degrees of separation

Today I went to a baby dedication. I was bridesmaid for the babies mother 6 years ago. Whilst at the service I saw a guy who looked familiar. We talked, and figured out that he'd been best man and I'd been bridesmaid at another, completely unrelated, wedding.

Random.
is he cute?? That's almost a Hugh Grant movie in the making!
Giving me heart palpatations (at least I think - isn't that what is happening when my insides feel like they are being twisted, turned and squished all at the same time?)...  I really do love NZ.  I really do.

How's work?

It would be a Hugh Grant movie but for the twist. The guy was miserable on the wedding day, as his partner had given birth a few weeks previously - the baby was 4 months prem. The baby was in hospital for a looong time and was particularly unwell on the day of the wedding.

The happy ending is it was that same baby who was the reason he knew my first friend. Their two children are in the same playgroup!

Work is, as you'd expect, interesting. But not stressy at all.
