Planning a wedding?

Who else out there is getting married or planning a wedding at the moment?

I'm in the throes of organising my sister's wedding. She got engaged 4 weeks ago and will be married in a few months time. I love doing it, really. So far Debs has a wedding dress, so she won't be getting married naked! But not much else is arranged.

Where are you at?

not planning a wedding per say but do help do talk through requirements with couples - if you need any advice just shout!
Was married only two months ago so although I'm no longer planning I am a mine of information and recommendations if that would help :o)
yes I am!

so far we've set the date, sorted out the bridal party, found a dressmaker, booked the church & venue, found a photographer, and found/booked a florist.

We're in the middle of sorting out the music (which is a tough one for me because there's so much I want!), designing the stationary, sorting out the suits and the honeymoon.

BTW, I'm an events manager by profession and am getting married at HTB, so if anyone needs any help/contacts then please let me know!
Oh, Vics, you're so organised.

We hit a hiccup, because the church that Debs wants to get married in has scheduled a garage sale on the only day the desired reception venue is free. The issue of rescheduling the garage sale is going to the parish council tonight!

But we know how the church and reception will be decorated, abd have almost sorted the stationery.

I love parish councils...
We're on! 5th May. The church has agreed to not have their garage sale....
An update -
The invitations have gone out. The stationery has a background of stones. It's all to do with my sisters fiance proposing with a rock...

The bridesmades will be wearing red. Deep lovely rich burgundy red.

The bride is likely to be carrying calla lilies, though we mustn't refer to them as lilies as the fiance's mother thinks they bring death.

The cake is beng created by my Aunt, who has her own cake decorating business. The photographer has yet to be chosen, and the mother of the bride doesn't yet know what she's wearing. (For that matter, I don't either). The grooms ex would quite like to be the MC, and we are actually hoping that lots of people decline their invitations so that we can still have a nice small wedding.

I'm enjoying this!
