Proportionate Passion...?

What do you miss most from your youth?

For me..It’s the naivety and innocence of it all. The unadulterated hope, untainted with jade and cynicism. In today’s world we kill or subvert our passion and spontaneity and call it maturity. We measure every move and countermove, thinking, thinking thinking and when we finally get round to acting, the actions themselves seem to be simply just that an act. It’s a best measured response rather what we actually feel. It’s all within reason. , it’s the correct response but it’s not our response

I’m not calling anyone to act without wisdom which clearly involves forethought, but what I am saying is that one should embrace their passions, and hopes and desires. So be angry, and express it, Feel love and longing and express that. You get hurt, be upset and express that..We own the emotion, all of us feel it and yet we’d much rather pretend that we didn’t.

Passion gets a pretty bad rap in today’s world. I’m referring to the passion we have excited, exhilarated by something, anything. A new project, a charity, a sport we love. We speak with zest and enthusiasm and we can’t help but rub it off onto others. But how many people do you see acting like that? Off hand I can only think of a couple. Why is it that people of the world become wary and respond with scepticism…

Honestly, when did it become so uncool to be passionate?
I think it became 'uncool' when passion's connotations in today's society veered towards the sexual and away from something you were crazy about.

just an opinion. :)

I think there's something to this revival of passion. Being uncool is way more fun ;)
