HELP!
I've been thinking about getting a digital SLR for a while ... but in a month I'm going to Africa and doing a safari, so I'm determined to get a decent camera before I leave.

I had my heart set on a Nikon D70s, but since have heard some suggest the Canon to be better. They cost about the same, and as I'm starting from scratch I don't have experience or equipment from either brand.

I'm a novice, so anyone with knowledge on the matter please feel free to throw in your two cents worth!
