Malshanger

My Chavalier has finally died. The skip on wheels is no more! My mechanic reckons it will cost me £300 to put it back on the road and considering it only cost £150 its not really worth it so I am having to scrap it.

So, Having offered various friends lifts down to Malshanger for our Pastorate weekend away, I hired a Ford Focus into which we managed to cram an extraordinary amount of luggage and people before we set off down the M3.

Easter

Just back from four days on the Norfolk Broads with a bunch of mates from home group. We left London late on Thursday night and after collecting the Bonnies in Dulwich we stopped off in Greenwich for supper at a place called The Hill, eventually arriving in Norfolk at 3.30 am.
We had a really chilled time in a village called Cley-next-the-sea. The beach was a 10 minute walk from the cottage and we swam in a very icy sea in Cley-next-the-sea - I have this thing about having my first swim of the year at Easter. Never have I been in such cold water, When I towelled myself dry I couldn't feel my skin! Cold as it was it was truly invigorating and I think that a dip in icy water is one of lifes great pleasures.
