I did think about this - I made an earlier post about the mark of the beast ages ago.

Either way, it is written that it will happen in some form or another.  So whether it's this or something else - it's up to us each to decide whether or not it will happen and how to respond.

Do you think this has any relation to Jesus talking about cutting off your right hand?  'Cos that's where they're talking about putting it.

Thanks for your comment. I honestly don't know if Jesus was referring to the mark of the beast or not. I think you have hit the nail on the head when you say if it isn't this it will be something else. I do believe that the thing for us is to be prayerfully aware and not totally surprised when these things come about. As you rightly say...'It is written.'
God is still God. He is still on the throne and He will remain on the throne...and neither marks, beasts or anything else will be able to change that truth.
