Hello everyone hope Focus is blasting off.. I just did a tv ad!! It was so cool. Set up like a normal life class but there were cameras and heaps of random people. It was so cool. I love my job! Dad is still on the mend and Brocky is getting bigger. He is going to puppy school and last week the vet said he was a "real man" which I am glad about - can't have a dog called Brocky being a girl. Fxx

Thanks for your prayers everyone. Dad is doing well - his speech is back to normal and he is walking with a stick and can now get up stairs (as long as they aren't too steep). His arm is taking the longest to get better but that is coming along slowly. Really REALLY appreciate your prayers - the Lord is wonderful isn't he? Here is another pic of Brocky - he has been such a joy to me since Dad had his stroke. Am off next week to freezing Toowoomba for a week of life modelling - it will be like camp though as a few models are heading up there. Take care everyone...Fxx

My dad (above) had a stroke on Monday and is paralysed on his left side. He will be doing intensive rehab for 6 weeks. Please can you send your strongest prayers this way? After my Mum died 2 years ago, I didn't think something like this could happen - but it has and I am still in shock and really upset. Thank you everyone...Fxx

Hey gang - I am having heaps of fun with my new line of work (artist modelling). I was body painted the other day at an art exhibition and did a photo shoot in a flowing creek on Monday...I would love to show you more pics/sketches but I would probably be chucked off the site.

Nearly 2 weeks ago I had my 30th birthday and it was all I could have hoped for - I had two amazing dinners and a lunch and then on my birthday - I went to The Golden Door Health Retreat for 5 nights. It was just what I needed - healthy food, LOTS of exercise and a pampering treatment every day.

Last Monday I handed in my resignation at my current job – QTC in Brisbane. It was a horrible day as my boss didn’t see it coming and she just kept saying “on no”. I got upset and it was just…horrible.
Since my Mum died, I have been looking at life and what is important and realised that I was spending too much time at work and not enough with the people I care about, plus just doing things that I wanted to do!
I turn 30 soon and am leading my life in new and exciting directions! Will work with a funky company called Red Chair PLUS have found something that I love doing, seem to have a natural ability for and can still earn some $$...you will never guess…

Happy New 2007 to everyone! I love the feeling in the air at this time of year - everyone fresh and happy and looking forward to various things over the coming months. One thing I have noticed in emails and chats etc, are the huge number of people saying that "keeping in touch with friends better than last year" is the top item on their resolutions list. I wonder why we all seem to lose touch with our mates - too busy, too tired, too anything....it's sad I think and in this day and age - we should all try and send that little message or call that special someone as much as we can! Seeing that second ball after lunch was just priceless...I do feel slightly bad for England but not when I remember the jibes and "loser" comments that so freely flowed when we lost last year...I do so wish I was back there in London with you all - would just wear my VB shirt and grin at everyone! Pilgrims...

Maybe some of you question my use of the term "Pilgrim" on this site - but I haven't used it lightly. I feel like I am a pilgrim in life. Dictionary.com's number 2 definition of pilgrim is a traveller or wanderer, esp. in a foreign place. I was definitely this person when I was living in the UK but I still think the term pilgrim can be applied to everyday life. I mean - tomorrow is a foreign place for us all - who knows what will happen?!?!? I had experiences in my life over the last 5 years that I could never have expected - both good and bad. Do you all feel the same? Are we all pilgrims in life? I would love to know your thoughts....Fxx

Hi all...this is my first post on my first personal blog website and what else can I talk about but the cricket?!?!?!
Who would have thought that Australia could win the second test? Everyone at work was saying a draw but as the day went on, it was getting more and more obvious that we could win! And we did!!!! I remember saying in a staff meeting at HTB when Jeremy Jennings was again talking about England winning the last series...."enjoy it while it lasts!" - and while I am not saying that we have won yet...still a long way to go....I am saying that we are closer than England to winning at this stage! C'mon Aussies!
I want to thank HTB for being my surrogate Church at this stage - when I was joining AboutLife there were no churches listed in Brisbane as yet...I will try and rectify this ASAP.
