New CD recording - a new approach to learning songs

We at the Vine are getting so excited about the live album recording on December 8th. 31 songs from 17 authors were submitted before we came up with the final selection
The album is called "From Ashes to Beauty' based on Isaiah 61 and an amazing song that Tom Read has written, with that title.
We are partnering with Care for Children for the album, highlighting the plight of 2 million orphans in China. CFC director Robert Glover will be our guest speaker at the recording (www.careforchildren.com.cn)
The 64 million dollar question is how do you get an audience at a live recording to know new songs? We can do them in church and we are, but it is limited to 2 or 3 per set and , with different people at different services, only partially solves the problem.
SO WE PUT THEM ON LINE!
It means that people from other local churches and internationally can also learn the songs
I would really love all my AL friends to hear them and would appreciate any feedback

Either go to the Vine website (www.thevine.org.hk) or else click (www.thevine.org.hk/index.php? option=com_content&task=view&id=54& Itemid=110)

The recording is on Dec 8, free admission by ticket - If you happen to be in Hong Kong

Happy listening!!!
Fantastic! Have listened through a few times now while i'm job searching. it's helping me stay God focused. thanks for the link :)

'Your Heart' is my absolute favourite ... that's a really great song.
i dunno if this kinda feedback is helpful, but it feels like there's a harmony missing in a bit of the chorus' after the strings come in? it just seems to jump out everytime i listen.
Break me lord, help me fall upon my face
Make me poor, if it helps me see Your grace
Make me weak, that I'd come to know Your strength
Lose my life, to be found in your embrace

i think adding one'd really make it it just that extra bit lush to the ear (think Damien Rice - Volcano).

constructive i hope :)

Your Great Love - also fab! a strong harmony comes to mind on that one too. i'm starting think maybe i've an unhealthy affection for 'em, hahaha.
