Character

The most misunderstood and misrepresented personality that has ever been is that of God the Father.

There have been centuries of people who have “thought He was this,” or said, “He is that,” all the while He is and was and always will be the Father who is perfect in all His ways, especially in who He is, not what He represents or should be like.  I often wonder how many times I have misrepresented my Father’s character by guessing what He is like instead of letting Him show me just how vast and utterly unique He is.  One thought I like to keep in mind when I loose a grip on who He is, is that the Father God exists whether or not I do.  Strange fact: God’s eternal nature and character is always magnificent regardless of how important I think I am.  I can see that my Father is best represented in the fact that His character is always right, even when mine falters.  His character, in essence, can not be looked at like a picture.  He is God, and His character is much holier to even be spoken of or compared to character like ours, which can be dirty and broken.

Resting on the fact that God’s nature is right and always true can give us a correct perspective that, even though we struggle in life, our Father’s character and goodness can never waiver from who He is.  And who He is, according to His personality, is a very delicate Father who helps, heals, and loves us regardless of our damaged character.

“How awesome is the Lord Most High, the great King over all the earth!” Psalm 47:2
Really thought provoking-Thanks for that.
