language & context

This series of skits from the Armstrong & Miller show got me thinking about the importance of keeping the context in alignment with the language, particularly concerning the Bible.



This skit shows the humourous side of it, but I wonder how often I, or others, have misinterpreted what's being said in the Bible because we don't consider it within the context of the era in which it was written?
