Well, here it is. At last I'm finally entering the world of Aboutlife, after watching from afar for a while.

The main thing that prompted me to start this blog was a retreat I attended last month, hosted by the WorshipCentral guys (highly recommend it if you get the chance to go). It was great to meet other worship leaders in similar roles to me. I decided it was AboutTime I found a way to share thoughts and new songs with others involved in worship, and AboutLife seems to do that well.

I'm still not quite sure what I'll use this blog for. Perhaps I might write about some of the things I've learnt and some of the changes I'm making after all that retreating. I might even put some of the songs that I have been mulling over. But I'm not promising too much, as I don't want to add to the world of blog apologies!

For those of you that don't know me, my name's Mike, I grew up and studied in England (and took part in 2 alpha courses :), before heading overseas to asia to work for a charity. In my spare time I write songs and am a worship leader in my local church (which runs an alpha course!). I also love getting out and enjoying creation: hiking, running, cycling, rowing, football...
