what

be prepared in season and out of season. i wonder what that means?

i need less pride and more humility. i wonder if thats what paul talked about when he said that he does the things he doesnt want to do and doesnt do the things he wants to do. i dont want pride but i have it. i want to see people through eyes of grace from now on- everyone was worth dying for in God's eyes. also, Jesus was so humble to be made temporal, when he had existed for eternity. His humility was astronomical (that's probably true in that it was absolute humility- perfect humility cos He is God) and my humility is SO small. i wonder if im just telling myself i want it. i wonder what needs to change. maybe i should pray to be made willing to be humble

ordinary derives from order. thus, i think easter sunday was the most ordinary day in history since the fall. God not being dead; the first time man had become properly man- Jesus being true to His nature both as God and man. I think that maybe Jesus' birth was the most extraordinary thing that ever happened. its thrilling to think about. actually, when you think that God came to help us and did what we couldn't do, then it puts a lot in perspective and makes me happy and reassured and GRACED.

" At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, decieved and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Saviour, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. This is a trustworthy saying."

Titus 3:3-8

to me it seems that often inteellectual or middle class sin is so much uglier than full on murder or something. the arrogance of when i sin is disgusting and so two-faced, but God's mercy extends even as far as me. may we all honour Him and bless [=enlarge] him. as John the baptist said, "He must become greater, i must become less"

Spirit renew us
"to me it seems that often inteellectual or middle class sin is so much uglier than full on murder or something. the arrogance of when i sin is disgusting and so two-faced, but God's mercy extends even as far as me"

this is so true. i think God wants us to be teachable, and (especially in the middle classes) too often we are not. we say "how can we be wrong, when everything seems to right?" and we forget that God calls us to be distinct and set apart for Him (HOLY). If we could see ourselves in God's eyes, not only would we see the true nature of SIN, we would also know the true nature of LOVE, and that amazes me! i see how God can know me, and i see how he can love me, but when you realise that he knows AND loves us, it's truly amazing!
