France, 24th December 1914. "Silent Night, Holy night"
The guns stopped that evening. Instead of the sound of rifles and bombs; laughter, joking and carols were heard. The dead were given proper burials. People, who had been trying to kill each other, swapped food, beer and cigarettes. There was a football game. At one service, attended by British and German soldiers alike, Psalm 24 was read; "The Lord is my Shephard, I shall not want..." Join Me. Please!October 7, 2006 - 1:30am | email this page
This is a much more important post than my last one. Im sitting in my room at uni and right now the thing i want to happen so much is to sit and pray with someone specifically i want to pray for my corridor mates, but to be honest i also want to ask a question. What would happen if everyone who read this stopped and prayed for 1 minute for the uni nearest them, or the uni they have friends at, or their old uni.

Why does the Bible never give God's personal pronoun or whatever the smell its called ... ie when God is referred to as "he" why is it "he" not "He"...why has God not been a capital letter there in what is His book when almost everyother Christian i know writes it with a capital?
i know this is an INSANELY dull and tedious question and rest assured that i shall not confer the same insanely dull and tedious status on whoever answers it!!! (well maybe not... :) read more | 2 comments | 176 reads

Why is it nearly everything, in fact probably everything, i do is done with ulterior motives.
some recent examples 1) go downstairs to open frontdoor to let little brother in (Real reason: get a shortbread biccie) 2) write blog entry (Real reason:postpone innumerable boring tasks, maybe get comments, avoid my real and severely neglected diary.) 3) text my grandma (Real reason:get her to call me so i can tell her what stuff i need her to give me for uni!!) read more | 12 comments | 214 reads
Isaiah 40September 13, 2006 - 9:32pm | email this page
im feeling pretty damn tired these days. impressive i know for someone who has stopped working and is merely preparing for uni. but a lot of things tire me out in seconds, i get more emotionally tired than anything else. which makes me physically tired. i could go to sleep now but i am going to devon in 10 mins. wont arrive till 12. still life could be worse and even as i was telling a friend about my problems in a loathsome self pitying way God nudged me towards isaiah 40 vs 29-31

here goes: There's no need to speak of what is past, things i've done for better or worse. Jesus You have done it, once for all You make the way clear for me to enter Your Father's house Happy SaturdaySeptember 9, 2006 - 5:01pm | email this page
![]() 1) this speedy little number (affectionately yet bizarrely labelled Rockin Robin) does 8 miles an hour, and is awesome for bombing around a large garden in. this (well not this one but one like it) went up snowdon apparently. read more | 2 comments | 142 reads

![]() I must confess that despite my thoughts about the failings of society in interacting with one another and its resort of turning to computers to communicate, well… I really like blogging. I find it easier to sit at my laptop and write than the prospect of sitting down and writing in my diary. Plus if im writing on my laptop I can listen to music, well sermons at the mo. And let no one forget the joy of seeing the number of views my entry has had, and the day making extravaganza that is seeing that some has commented! |
