Wednesday 2 April...It’s approx. 6.30pm and we’re winding down our first full day in Manila. Both Jeni and I slept really well last night – no signs of jet lag – and it’s been a fairly restful day.
We rose at 8.30am and greeted the new arrivals, the wonderful Miss. Schuberg and Mr. Sales, over breakfast. It was so great to see some familiar faces! While Emma and Matt took a trip to the (unfinished!) conference venue, Jeni and I went to the Alpha office to catch up on emails. A quick fire of all things important, then it was off to meet the lovely Andrea for lunch!
We met at one of the malls and grabbed a bite to eat at one of the local cafes, after which we wandered around the shopping centres perusing the stores. The afternoon was spent in the hotel swimming pool and then some lazy time in our hotel room, all the while working non-stop on the work blackberry. Being contactable EVERYWHERE has its disadvantages. It’s difficult to leave it alone, and everyone who knows you have access to it expects you to reply. Hmmm…
I’ve taken some gorgeous photos of this evening’s sunset. Our hotel room is on the 26th floor overlooking the city, so it’s a good view!

Tonight we’re heading out to a pizzeria for dinner with the rest of the HTB team. I’m feeling rather hungry so food is very welcome right now!
Sooo… better get myself ready… will probably blog again soon…
Over and out.
