Life just gets too busy sometimes...

It's been TOO long since I've blogged, but you can't really blame me. My life gets a bit busy sometimes, as I'm sure it does for the rest of you aboutlifers.

I don't even have much time to write now, so here's a brief summary:

- I'm REALLY looking forward to watching The Apprentice tonight. Can't believe we're near the end. If you love the show, tell me who your favourite is to win!

My work here is done

It’s over. My work here in Asia is done (for the time being at least!). I’m currently killing time in Singapore airport as I wait for my flight to Thailand. It’s 6am and the airport is just beginning to wake up. Jeni, Frances and I spent the night on the sofas of Starbucks, grabbing a few hours of sleep before the air-con woke us all up and prevented our slumber from continuing. I’m pretty tired, but can’t say I’m particularly bothered because for the next few days I will be fully relaxing, getting all the sleep I need to rejuvenate.

Asia Pacific Trip - Part 2

Wednesday 2 April...

It’s approx. 6.30pm and we’re winding down our first full day in Manila. Both Jeni and I slept really well last night – no signs of jet lag – and it’s been a fairly restful day.

We rose at 8.30am and greeted the new arrivals, the wonderful Miss. Schuberg and Mr. Sales, over breakfast. It was so great to see some familiar faces! While Emma and Matt took a trip to the (unfinished!) conference venue, Jeni and I went to the Alpha office to catch up on emails. A quick fire of all things important, then it was off to meet the lovely Andrea for lunch!

A day in the life of…

(This was actually written on Tuesday 1 April, approx. 8pm.)

Me. Land. International Conferences Events Coordinator, a.k.a. Globe trotter. It’s Tuesday 1 April and I’ve just embarked on the biggest trip of my career. I’m feeling a mixture of emotions. Excitement, nervousness, anticipation, tiredness, weariness and therefore on the very edge of my tether…

I saw three in two days...

...Celebritites that is. And it's becoming quite a pattern. (But when living in London, I shouldn't at all be surprised to spot them fairly frequently!)

I saw three in two days...I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Steve Jones, the T4 presenter, standing just off Hammersmith's main shopping street on Monday! I'm currently doing a First Aid course in the Hammersmith area, so had popped into the centre to grab some lunch when I glanced over and recognised a face. Immediately after my double-take I realised who it was and proceeded to get rather star struck!!! I was whispering in an excited tone to the girl I was with who it was, but she didn't know his name or face! A few more girls from the course followed behind us and when they had caught up I pointed (subtly, of course!) towards Steve and explained who he is, yet none of them knew him either! I was very disappointed not to be able to share my excitement with anyone!!!

Does anyone remember PETRA?

Hahhhaaaa!!!!

I don’t know the majority of aboutlifers' conversion stories, but for those of you who were Christians in the 80s, do you remember the Christian Rock band, Petra?!

Just stumbled across them on youtube. Brilliant! I used to love this group and listened to them on holiday car journeys all the time!!

Good ol’ 80s rock ‘n’ roll!

I'm SOOOOOOO excited!!!!

I am so incredibly excited that I'm heading to the snowy mountains tomorrow!!! Woooohoooooooooooooooo!!!

I don't usually get so passionate and excited about going on holiday, but there's something about the mountains and the snow that gets to me. It's totally exhilarating to be out in the fresh air and surrounded by the most beautiful scenery, and enjoying it all with my dearest friends.

Merry Christmas one and all!

Just wanted to wish everyone on AboutLife a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! Here's to hoping that you enjoy the festivities and don't eat too much that you can't move on Christmas Day.

(Hope you like my picture - it's amazing what you can whip together in 10 minutes with microsoft paint!! ;-) )

Almighty Trust

I gave the talk at my staff meeting last Tuesday. I had really encouraging feedback so I thought I'd share it with you all! Unfortunately you won't be able to see the DVD clip I used coz I don't know where I can get it from, plus I wouldn't have a clue how to upload it anyway!

Here it is....Hope you enjoy!

Good morning everyone!

Just for Mum

Gosh. I've been off AL for quite some time. I spoke to my mother last night who told me that she's been frequently checking my blog to find out what's currently going on in my life, but nothing has been appearing.

Well, it's not because my life is boring, nor can it be attributed to Facebook. It's merely because I'm so busy! I thought life might return to a 'normal' pace again after the Peru Conference, but alas that's not the case. Work is crazy busy and as always, the term running up to Christmas is the busiest socially too.
