special little gig - april 7

am having a special little gig to celebrate the upcoming launch of the single "someone sometimes". just wanted to post it here to make sure you folks knew - my AL friends have been so supportive - you guys were the first to order the EP, to get to gigs and to send on warm fuzzies. go team AL!  here's the details:

----

Date:Monday, April 7, 2008Time:7:30pm - 10:30pmLocation:Weeks Family HQStreet:2 Sherborne Gardens, Ealing, W13City/Town:London, United Kingdom
------

if you've been to a gig or enjoyed the ep or anything make sure you come along - it will be the best yet - a great chance to hear the songs with a more full band vibe and in the very room that little light was recorded. also is great to have indie hipsters shackleton along to do an acoustic set.

there's very limited space so do let me know if you want to come or say so on the facebook event. yeehah.

ahhh shonks! had planned to come to this but not planned having to go to a funeral that eve. hope you take some pics or a vid and post them up!

happy extra special gigging to ya! :-D
thanks ray - very sad news though - we will send out a little light for you on the night for sure. the gig is being filmed too so will let you know when the stuff is up somewhere.
sounds fun Kris. Hope it goes really well.

Am into 'house gigs' right now, went to one here in Mount Pleasant just the other day to see Francis Dunnery (ex It Bites etc)

We all just sat in somebodys front room with no sound system or anything, one man and an acoustic guitar, songs and stories. Very cool! (He is now touring the world doing this all the time, what a laugh...!)

Have fun and say 'hi' to all those crazy Weeksies for me
I LOVE FRANCIS DUNNERY - i knew he was doing that stuff but how great you got to see him up close like that - i'm well jealous. i played his album "fearless" to death. loved it. great songs and great guitar player too.

i can see why lots of folks are doing the house show thing - seems to be a better way of enjoying the music than working with rubbish promoters in rubbish pubs etc etc i'm really looking forward to monday night.

will say hi to the boyz. give calum a punch for me.
will do..

Had to laugh though as I unwittingly freaked FD out when my friend (the promoter) introduced me to him before the show.

We got chatting about both being in '80s bands. When he asked me which band I had been in and I told him I was the lead singer in After The Fire he suddenly took a stunned step back and exclaimed "...you were the first live gig I ever went to see!!"

Small world....

PS Posted DC & AP albums on iTunes today. Should be up by May
