Off again - Calcutta here we come!

It's now been at least three weeks since my passport got an outing, so it will be happily open to be stamped on Thursday when I arrive in Kolkata (Calcutta). I'm going out with a few great guys from one of the HTB pastorate's to help run two Alpha Conferences in Kolkata, as part of the My Hope India project.

Yeeeehah - great stuff!  And I'm off to Singapore tonight for a long weekend minibreak!  I'll be online though if anything comes up - definitely be in touch!

Love,
Kxx

Hi Jules,
Hope you're doing well! I just deleted the previous comment to get rid of my email address. :-)

From Billc's blog

'without the fear of offending someone'. I agree and think a lot of people blog here with this fear and it forces them to write elsewhere such as myspace or wherever. What I find intriging is that it is not the offending but the fear that has this effect. I could say 'I hate Christians because they are 2-faced and self-serving' on here and it would almost certainly offend someone. If I wrote the same thing on a secular site the chances are that fewer people would be offended but still some would. Of course I wouldn't care about it in the secular world as I have the right to write what I want without feeling like I have to take other people's sensitivities into account. Whether this is a good thing is up for debate.

I would say that you should be able to write what you want on aboutlife but while learning to 'hold your tongue' i.e. make your point while still loving the other. Sometimes this should be blunt and hard but usually you can do it another. This is certainly for me something that needs to be learned.
