What Soever Is Lovley!!

Latley I've been thinking about the verse written by Paul in Phillipians 4:8:

Whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Phillipians 4:8 NRSV)

And also thinking about how these pure, commendable and excellent thoughts of truth and wisdom can and should take precedence over the things that can so easily cause anxiety and unnessary stress in our lives.

Blessed Tears

I’m so excited that tears are all over the bible. And that God loves to wipe them away, because he cares for them endlessly!!

I love what it says in Psalm 56:8, about God keeping a record, storing away our tears for keeping!! :

You have kept count of my tossing;
Put my tears in your bottle.

Expectancy

I love it how God rewards expectancy!! When we come into his presence, expectant of all he can and will do in us, and in our world, he open's His wraps His arms towards us.
In Luke 6:17 Jesus is ministering to the people who are in front of him. And I want to suggest it’s here that Luke comments on the why people had come to hear Jesus:
They had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases; and those who were troubled with unclean spirits were cured.

The Bride's Destiny.

On reading Ephesians 3,4 and 5 God showed me all that Paul had to say to the Church in Ephesus. But more than that he also showed me all that he had to say to His People, His Bride, His Church today.

Rejecting the Fear of Failure

As children of God our relationship with Christ frees us from constantly having to match up to the standards of those around us. And so, also frees us from the very real fear that many of us have of failure. Although it’s this fear that we have of messing it up, that can sometimes hinder us from pursuing the desires God has placed on our hearts.

Intimacy and Authority.

“On the thirds day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.”
“Dear women, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied “My time has not yet come.”
His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

Pressing On

I've been thinking a lot lately about what Paul wrote to the Philippians: “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenwards in Christ Jesus.”
It made me think about what it means to press on; to keep persevering in my relationship with the Lord. But it also made me think about some of the things that can sometimes hinder me from pressing on if I don’t make the conscious decision to look at the world from the Father’s perspective.
