What's new?

Hi guys,

Well as most of you know I got back from India last week.
I was on an Alpha trip. We were doing to 2 conferences out there.
One in Darjeeling(Tea place) and the other in Siliguru - North-east India.
It was amazing to see how Alpha can help people all over the world to meet Jesus - awesome! Through all the things that you think might get in the way i.e. culture, language, God is there using it to see His children come to Him.

We had our first Fluid of the term last night!
I thought it was really cool. Loads of new people to meet - just a great night of community and friends. Hope it can carry on.

I hope everyone had a great summer and are looking ahead to this year. I'm really excited about what God's got in store for the Students at HTB this year. We're stepping up the programme a little bit this year cause we're expectant about what God wants to do in us and through us. We're gonna meet every week for the first term so we can get to know each other. It's happening in the main church cause they'll be more room and space for us to go for it and worship the Lord! We've got besom projects planned and loads of really cool stuff.

Hello everyone,

Well I got back from Passion for Your Name yesterday. I had an awesome time. Great to hang out with the guys and worship together.
It's amazing to see God move in such a real and profound way when we give Him everything (including our agendas). It revealed to me how much God just wants to meet with His people. The problem is that alot of the time we're not desperate to meet with Him.

Benny and huggy here reporting the night before our little adventure to Soul Survivor, Passion for Your name!
We are very excited.
Although, I'm also shattered(huggy)- just got back from family holiday and my flight was delayed overnight cause of a heat storm(!) in Madrid plus my luggage got left behind and I still don't have it the night before this escapade to South-west England. But hey... God is good even tho Heathrow isn't.

When we were at the New Wine gathering in Scotland we got a chance to hang out a bit with Brian Doerksen (wrote Faithful One, Come now is the time to worship and many more).
It was really cool to listen to a talk on how he would approach worship times that he did.
Here are my rough notes from it but i think you'll get the jist.

Hey Guys,

Just come back from a week at New wine gathering in Scotland going straight to Focus. I came back home totally knackered.
It's been awesome to come back and just rest and reflect on what God has been saying. Focus was great and God definately showed up.
I was in Students and it felt like God did some pretty powerful stuff. On the last morning all the guys got around the girls and prayed for them - it was an emotional time with several guys having particularly powerful words for the girls. It was a time when I think God really showed us the unity between His children - us as brothers and sisters in Christ. It was a revelation for alot of guys!
