This week it's been an absolutely wonderful to have The Rev. Dr Graham Tomlin come to speak at Red Sky, and to have Bishop Sandy & Annette Millar come to see us too!

Graham came to speak on Creation and how we are called to put the worship of all creation into words. Sandy & Annette (and Charles Hudson!) came to see how we were doing and encourage us in all that's happening in God's church.

Dear Friends,

It's been great to look at Moses' journey so far in these past few weeks at Red Sky - all about vision and leadership and Moses believing in God's call on his life. Singing Christmas Carols!

We had such a blast singing carols and giving out mince pies!! Hanif led us all in some great songs whilst Andy, Hilda, John & Mei handed out mince pies and Christmas greetings! It was also wonderful to have our very energetic gate manager Ian join in the chorus!

Holy Trinity School

Holy Trinity School is the Church of England Primary school attached to HTSC! There are several hundred students at HTS, many of whom (over 30%) come from refugee families and many of whom (over 60%) have English as their second language.

And they are a lovely, wonderful bunch! Our head teacher is Mrs Rosie Lyle and through her leadership the school has flourished. We've met some wonderful teachers and parents.. but the real stars are the young people!

As Priest-in-Charge at HTSC, Andy is automatically a school governnor at HTC and here he is pictured above, taking the Christmas Carol Service. He's asking the students 'Put your hand up if you'd like to pray for your Mum or Dad at Christmas-time!'.

Hi Everyone!

By now you've probably met Hanif, our new Worship Director and his wife Dina! Like many of us, Hanif includes wonderful secular work as part of his full-time Christian ministry, and we thought it would be cool for everyone to see his 'commercial biography' as a little window into that side of his life.

Hanif is still very much recruiting HTSC members to the Worship Team, so please do find him or email on hanif@ht-sc.org !

Hanif Williams Writer-Producer Hanif Williams signed to the Kobalt Music Group in 2006. Formerly signed to Universal Music Publishing Group he has worked with artists such as Sting, Mary J Blige, Jamiriquoi, Sarah Whatmore, Blue, Sclub 7, Brenton Brown, Blush, LZ7, Johanna Lee and Dominic Miller as well as the stable acts from the 19 group. Hanif is a multi-instrumentalist who considers himself firmly a writer first, producer second. His musical background is actually in the church where he learnt most of the instruments he now plays. Hanif is quickly earning a reputation as one of the most versatile producers in the UK. Based in London Hanif will be working on a variety of projects in the next couple of months. He will be writing with Sharon Vaughn from Nashville, in the studio with the group 365 signed to innocent records and girl group ID signed to BMG. He is currently splitting his time between mainstream pop projects as well as working on some Christian artists like Blush, Eoghan Heaslip and producing a charity record for Tearfund being performed by Tim Hughes and Al Gordon.

Christianity is collapsing everywhere except London

THE English church of most people's imagining is rural, and so is the English Christian. “The modern town-dweller has no God and no Devil,” complained the dean of St Paul's Cathedral in 1919. True then, perhaps, but the landscape of belief in England is changing fast. The latest report of the English Church Census, an independent count of bums on pews which is carried out every seven to nine years, contains the surprising news that London, the modern-day Gomorrah, is now more devout than almost everywhere else.
