My boss has been away a fair bit recently, especially this last week. Sometimes we have no idea where he is and we'll get a phone call from him from home or somewhere in his car, but the last week saw the passing away of his grandma and he helped out with the funeral arrangements etc. which took him away for a couple of days.

So what have we been doing while he's away? Sometimes I'm the only one there actually, and I'm still at a loss as to how to deal with some circumstances that arise. I manage though, and I'm able to put some things off until the boss comes back.

When I'm not the only one there, I am joined by our senior designer Rob. Rob's not a Christian but I've been really excited of late to answer a lot of questions he's had. When the boss is around, we tend to keep quiet and work but these times he's been away have really helped in building a relationship with Rob and creating an environment where he feels free to ask the questions. I believe God has been working in his heart and it's really cool to be a part of it.

We have an interesting mix at work, with the boss and his wife as Jehovah's Witnesses, me as a Christian, our Tuesday accounts lady as a nominal Catholic, and two agnostics.

Anyway, if you'd like to pray for my work mate Rob, that'd be really cool. He's thinking about coming along to church too, or coming along to bible study. It may not be for a while yet, but that's ok. I'll be sticking around.
