The hunt is definitely on! A couple of weeks ago I decided to make a really big effort to find a job in Brisbane. I sent out a dozen +plus emails in response to job vacancies and also some cold calling (via emails) to some of the bigger design houses in Brizzy.

Well, I was invited to an employment agency for a meeting and I'm now on the short list for a job in the middle of Brizzy, right where I wanted to work :D

In the mean time though, I've had a call from a design house closer to home and I was asked this morning whether I could come in to do some work. Upon arriving I was given the responsibilty of answering the phone, updating a client's job when he came in, and working on some design work for a realty agency. I thought how odd it is to be answering the phones for a business you've only just set foot into for the first time, for a person you've talked to twice over the phone in the last 24 hours, full stop.

I am hopeful. Not only because of the encouragement I received from the guy I was working for today, or from the fact that he's asked me to come back tomorrow and Saturday (and next week if I don't land a job Monday), but I'm also encouraged because it was less than 24hours after meeting the lady at the employment agency that I was on the shortlist for an almost idealic job. Time will tell whether it is really THE ideal job for me :)
