Above is a photo of 'The Burn-a-thalon' --- A 3 mile jog to the frozen River North Esk (on the East Coast of Scotland) into the river for a frigid dip, then back again to the fire and a lunchtime beer!  

'The Burn' is the country home of my old London college, and we had a great time joining some Scottish doctors who were also staying there this weekend.  Great fun!
