Back to normal....

It has occurred to me that this blog has started to deviate into serious issues instead of silliness. So here is an attempt to address this slip....

Archeologists have recently found a number of letters from various historical figures and they have been reproduced for you dear reader:

Saul from Damascus - Having a blinding time, long letter to follow.

New Season, Old Woes
The wind, the rain and the smell of petrol and burnt rubber. It can only mean one thing.

The motor racing season is back.

And it is back with a vengence only instead of glory the car is playing up again.

So far a trip to Silverstone has resulted in a light smash, caused by my Dad spinning on his own petrol and the cracking of the stub axle on the front right hand side of the car.

You guys have been great

I have been meaning to write this entry for a while as for some reason this has been on my mind and it won't stop nagging away until I have written it down.

What makes a good alpha helper? I am not exactly sure (and that is a topic for another blog and maybe someone else) but having lead a number of alpha groups I need to take a break from doing alpha at HTB due to a number of factors - work and the need to recharge my batteries being amongst them. So I thought that I would take this chance to say thank you to all those who have been my helpers over the last 5 years or so. So in no particular order here goes:

Being Gifted

I make no apologies for the pun in the title for this entry but it was the best I could come up with

Why does each Christian have gifts that God has given them?

There is probably a theologian who can answer this question far better than me. If I try and think about the why bit for too long my head starts to hurt and I have to go into a dark room for a lie down. But I ask this question for a reason.

Inside the tech team at HTB

Welcome dear reader to another entry in Cubicle Life

A departure this week. Have you ever been in a service at HTB and wondered how it all seems to run smoothly and without problems. Well there are a group of people, amongst others who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make HTB happen.

At the back of church there is a large wooden box where people sit twiddling buttons and looking generally relaxed and contented - these people are members of the Tech Team - a small but appreciated group of mainly volunteers responsible for the sound and vision at each service at HTB. So what do these people do?

Cubicle Life 2

This is another installment of Cubicle Life - a slightly strange take on life as viewed from behind the cubicle wall.

As the author mentioned this blog is possibly a little bit strange but defiantly whimsical and diverse. But it is mainly designed to make people laugh and relax. It also gives an insight into the state of the authors mind - a terrifying thought you might agree!!!

Cubicle Life 1

Hi dear reader,
The author of this blog is not too sure exactly what this blog is going to contain. It will probably contain a mixture of extreme silliness and rather off the wall comments on all sorts of stuff. How often it gets updated is also a matter for debate. It could be once or twice a week or once or twice a month depending on how much the author has had to eat and/or drink.
