like a kid in a sweetshop...

First post has absolutely nothing to do with me being in nz. More about that another time so you'll have to stay poised precariously on the edge of your seat until then Im afraid.....

Instead kicking off with some unashamedly frivolous nostalgia which I indulged today as I came across a fab website...

Trotting off down the road on a Saturday afternoon (in the slot between Knightrider and the footie… trotting turned into a gallop if it was a Spurs or Liverpool game) with my big brother and little sister clutching my newly presented 50 pence pocket money in my hot little hand.

Destination: Corner Shop
Mission: sweets (purchase of)

check out www.aquarterof.co.uk for a trip down memory lane (via the corner shop). Anyone for a Kola Kube?

Relive the “Tuckshop Glory Days too with Wham Bars & Highland Toffees … you'll find them all lurking there.

My 50 pence wouldn't go far nowadays. Disappointing.
50p???? In my day you got 50p to last ya all year, n then u had to work for it down the pit like.... 50p? Ya don't know you're born ......

sending mutual admiration to the other side of the world...much love! xxx
Similarly, being a Kiwi rugby fan in England at (Soccer) World Cup time does not work...
