Spring

After a late start this year, Spring is finally here. It came on Saturday and I have to say it - with a very powerful entry.  The sun was shining brightly, the wind blowing gently and the air just so warm!  I say powerful because it just simply changed New Yorkers. Last week everyone (myself included) was grumpy, pushy, tense and edgy. The subways were damp and wet and people were just stressed out and cranky. You could see it in everyone's eyes. It was contagious.

But this week, after a gorgeous weekend at the parks, everyone  is refreshed, smiling, saying "excuse me" and meaning it (well, at least sounding like they do), and just being polite overall.  (there are still a few grumps on the road, but hey - the rest of us are shiny happy people and it is easier to ignore those grumps).

It's remarkable what a little sun shine can do.  Imagine if we all carried that sunshine with us everyday - how much nicer a place the city would be.

Similar things are happening here in Beijing. London is much the same. Simply delightful... Enjoy!
how lovely!  i am in sri lanka, in the middle of an electrical storm...  i can't remember the last time i saw rain though, so this is perfect weather for me!xxx
Hey Kat -
What is an electrical storm? And what is the current project in Sri Lanka? I thought you were in Singapore or Hong Kong now? I cannot keep track ;-)
