Prayer on a tube station

Last night I was heading home quite late from a band rehearsal for my friend Bex's wedding.  The rehearsal was in Weybridge which is not the easiest place to get back from and I am really not that keen on train journeys anyway.  Being quite late on a Wednesday night, there were a number of slightly, lets just say, odd people on the train with me and as we travelled further I was getting more and more nervous..

LA LA Land

I just got back from the most amazing holiday ever!  I went to LA to visit Tom and it was wonderful :)

My top 3 things to do in LA:

1) Sea World - top of my list.  Great shows, surprisingly good rides and I even got to stroke a dolphin!!

GIG!!! ok a bit of shameless advertising..

I've had some really exciting news that I just can't seem to stop sharing with everyone:

I am playing my very first gig (excluding htb events in this!) in a week and a half!  In fact, I'm actually playing with my newly formed band.  My vocals will be backed by Steve (drums), Tony (double bass), Gavin (guitar) and Sarah (piano) - none of whom are christians and often have some strange views on spirituality, such is the life of musicians, so it has offered me some good opportunities to chat about my faith..

Thanks Shel.. Taking my turn..

Four jobs I've had in my life
1) Assistant Events Coordinator
2) Worship Office Manager -still miss you all in Homebase!
3) Office Monkey
4) Global Project Office Coordinator - yes it is a bit of a mouthful and I have to think carefully before I actually say it out loud!

Four movies I'd consider watching again
1) Memento

From one city to another.. and another... and another :)

So for all those who have been waiting patiently to see if I would actually ever get around to writing a blog, here you are!  Yes, I have made it!  Actually I got half way through writing it in Chicago where I was working last week, but then got rushed off into a meeting and then to drinks and then to see a show.. yes it's a hard life being a jet-setter!  Anyhoo..  The picture is the view from the 96th floor of the John Hancock building in central Chicago, not bad ay?
