Where I used to Work

For all of you that only know me as working at HTB here is a picture of my workplace for my year before Uni

Creole Disp 700 tons, LOA: 215' Sail Area: 17,000sq ft,

I'd sailed all my life in Scotland so after school decided to sail to the Caribbean and work on yachts. After helping with a delivery from Palma to Antigua on this yacht

then called Victoria of Strathern (a C&N 93') I hung out in Antigua which was quite a an education for a wee lad from the Highlands I can tell you!!!

I amazingly got a job on Creole (the largest privately owned classic three masted schooner!) which was owned by Mauritsio Gucci (the one who was tragicaly shot by his ex wife in 96).  We sailed down the Caribbean, across to Panama, up to San Diego which we enjoyed for 3 months and then sailed all the way back to Scotland via Panama, Jamaica, Bermuda, Azores, Ireland finally back into my home port of Oban.

I loved my time on boats and went back after Uni but that is for another day...
Cool stuff Cal! My parents used to have a boat and we used to sail  to France and Holland.... its kind of addictive...once you have started you get withdrawl symptoms if you dont get on a boat every so often!
