Dynamic Prayer In The Local Church Conference

Dynamic Prayer In The Local Church ConferenceIn case any of you don't know what I do in the Prayer Department at HTB then here is heads up to one of things we are involved in.  It is on Thursday 15 June and is a one day conference about prayer and prayer meetings.  We've been to quite a few places round the UK and even into Europe with this conference.  Dynamic Prayer is the 'Alpha' out-looking ministry of the Prayer Department at HTB.

How Great is Our God - in Holland

Well its been a while since I put anything up here.

Jeremy and I headed off for another top mission (have a look at our presenting on HTB News ) this time to the Netherlands where we had been invited by Alpha Netherlands to lead the late seminar (10 - 11:30pm) about the need for prayer and also leading prayer (and worship) to see revival in the Netherlands.

Silly Music

For all those who understand music theory; a friend sent me this silly piece of musical story telling!!!

What's in a name..

Have a look at "Jonathan" Marches well written and thought provoking entry about names and nick names...

http://www.aboutlife.com/jonmarch/ whats_in_a_name

I personally think that self acceptance of nick names are very much dependant on who created/coined them.  If we love the person who coined the phrase then we are happy with the name.

I've been got!

Josh The Super Hero has tagged me so here goes..

Folk Roots

It's official Folk is on the up and up.  For anyone who still thinks that folk music is the domain of old men in arrun knit sweaters then think again!

If any of you love folk music of the contempory or traditional kind then a great way to hear some fantastic tracks then tune into the BBC's radio player.

For all of you that only know me as working at HTB here is a picture of my workplace for my year before Uni

Saddam's General

Saddam's GeneralLast night I met one of Saddam Hussein's former Generals.  I shook his hand and led him in worship! [grin!]

General George Sada used to be a senior General in the Iraqi Air Force though was kicked out in '86 as not a member of the Baath Party.  He was then brought back into service when Iraq invaded Kuwait and put in charge of all the POW's and did a lot to stop Saddam killing them!  He is of Assyrian decent rather than Arab and is also a born again Christian

Lusting after guitars

I've made the foolish mistake at looking at new guitars again. Ooops

This is a gorgeous song writing studio guitar that I would love to try and own. Pity I don't have the money to buy but if you do then have a look http://www.mcphersonguitars.com/
