A Tale of Two Prawns

Far away in the waters of the Caribbean, two prawns were swimming around in the sea, one called Justin and the other called Christian. The prawns were being harassed and threatened by sharks.

One day Justin said to Christian, "I'm fed up with being a prawn; I wish I was a shark, and then I wouldn't have any worries about being eaten."

A large mysterious cod appeared and said, "Your wish is granted." Lo and behold, Justin turned into a shark. Horrified, Christian swam away, afraid of being eaten by his old mate.

Find Madeleine

Find MadeleineThe search for Madeleine McCann goes on today with the launch of a fighting fund to support her family.
Keep praying and searching, and donate to the fund if that feels right to you.
A high profile is important in the search for this little girl. She went missing two weeks ago in The Algarve. Prayer has featured prominently ever since she was abducted. Goodwill towards the family is very high. Their plight has touched the heart of the nation.

Keep Looking

Four candles focussed our prayers and thoughts for Madeleine McCann. One for each year of her life. They stood at the centre of the evening meal table flickering in the breath from our conversation. The tiny flames reminded us of how fragile is a small child's life.

Light Four Candles for Maddie's Birthday

Light Four Candles for Maddie's BirthdayToday is Madeleine McCann's fourth birthday. She is still missing, nine days after being abducted from her holiday home in Portugal. I write this as part of the campaign to keep her profile high and to engage as many hearts and eyes as possible in the search for her.

Give thanks for Mobile Phone Masts

Those who know me will know of my love for radio and TV transmitting masts. Something to do with my first job as BBC Transmitter Technician. So this prayer, broadcast on BBC Radio Merseyside and circulated by Greenbelt, is right on my wavelength.
