I'm Fine Thank you!


Hate, hurt, abandonment, crisis, invisible, raw, hatred, depressed, suicidal, murderous, ashamed, guilty, victim, unfair, useless, hopeless, justified, lost, alone, scared, unprotected, pain, relieved, rejected, discarded, envy, discarded, jealousy, loneliness, sadness, disappointment, disbelief, failure, horror of future, worry, empty, shock, loss of trust, broken, guilt,  shame, embarrassment, vulnerable, stress,  heartbroken, bit of relief, mood swings, physical pain, exposed, letting God down.

These are the feelings that are called out and put on a flip chart on the first evening of the Divorce and Separation Recovery Course (DSRC) held at St. Pauls Onslow Square. To the question "What are the feelings surrounding your separation and divorce?"

So why is it that when I am asked "How are you?" I reply "Fine!" 

yep, we just do that don't we? I suppose because it is easier to say that than face what we really feel, or think.....I reckon fear plays huge part too and sort of self-protecting ourselves....cos who really wants to hear how dreadful etc we can feel??  regards, Jo.
