I have just read Jon March's entry about names and it got me thinking. I never really used to like my name, and used to dream at the back of Math's class about what i would change it to. So i shortned the Alexandra to Alexa and have had various shortened versions since, which i quite like. But it got me thinking about names and naming. I was named for my maternal grandmother. And my second name, Kate, was given to me by my natural mother, which my parents deceided to keep. So really my name has alot of meaning. It has actually been lovely to re-think all this and come to the conclusion that i love my name and might even pass it on!
