'Da Vinci Code' protesters....April 24, 2006 - 2:04pm | email this page
I am not particulary one to comment on as I haven't played much of an active role, but shouldn't followers of the Lord Jesus be approaching this new 'Da Vinci Code' film a different way.
I'm sure that when it is released around the world Christians will be protesting outside the cinemas telling people that this is 'blasphemy' and offensive (reminiscent of 'The Last Temptation of Christ'). Shouldn't these protesters unite at these places and 'promote' Jesus that he is infact alive today. I just feel that all to often people are too busy protesting and arguing rather than getting to the point of the whole debate; that Jesus is here. One day I will write a decent post!May 24, 2006 - 11:53am | email this page
I guarantee that there will be a time when I write a good post, just give me a few weeks!

The Miserables..May 18, 2006 - 1:50am | email this page
I went to see Les Miserables in the West End earlier and never realised how much of a religious undertone there is. It's something I want to look into but according to some sources Victor Hugo was Freemason (and fairly high ranking), and so it is interesting to see someone of this type write a book with such a Christian backbone (or is it?). Maybe he was just expressing the general notion of Christianity and hope in a time of national chaos (the French revolution) rather than a personal homage.
